Are you experiencing change or challenges in your life, do you feel confused, or have lost direction? Do you feel you need more perspective on your emotional reactions or behaviour?

Ebb and Flow Counselling offers a caring and respectful space to grow and gain new insights. Counselling can offer a rich and transformative experience in which you can develop further self awareness, build greater connection and re-imagine a future in creative ways you have not thought of before.

My name is Ann Rapstoff, I am a BACP accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I am based in South Oxfordshire, but work remotely on Zoom, Teams, Skype and on the phone. I am happy to work with anyone throughout the UK. I approved by The Professional Standards Authority for Health Social Care (cert no 037697). I have worked for over 30 years with people from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. I offer short term counselling which provides time limited focused space to explore issues, or longer term therapy which is more open ended and reflective. I work with individuals and couples, we can discuss how we work together when we meet, I will always listen to what feels right for you.

I am very happy to use all methods of remote contact including Zoom, Whatsapp, Skype and phone. Do contact me to discuss this and your preferred method of contact.

I have trained in a number of theoretical models and approaches over the years, in addition I have been influenced by other fields such as meditation and the arts. This integrative way of working enables me to weave together a flexible approach, which supports each person’s individual needs and experiences. Each person is unique, with an ability to grow and heal, therefore our relationship and the way I work is unique to you.

My work is underpinned by the conditions developed by Carl Rogers Person Centred approach, Buddhist thinking, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness. I have completed a Couples Therapy training and have a Diploma in Couples Therapy from Relational Change.

I recognise we have differing experiences, histories, views and opinions. I am committed to providing a space for people to feel valued for who they are. I welcome working with you in a way that feels safe to express and explore your identity, cultural experiences, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity and whatever makes you unique.

Contacting a counsellor is a big step, so before you make a decision have a look around this website, to find out more about the counselling I offer. If you have any questions or require further information, please do contact me.

I am very happy to use all methods of remote contact including Zoom, Whatsapp, Skype and phone. Do contact me to discuss this and your preferred method of contact.

My love of the sea and rivers, led me to call my practice Ebb and Flow Counselling. I see life like the tide, shifting and turning from moment to moment.  We often try to resist inevitable change and the emotions we face in life, particularly if feelings or situations make us feel uncomfortable. When we dare to allow ourselves to move through difficult

emotions and experiences without judgment we can grow and be more loving towards our human frailties and others around us.

... Be water. Flowing, flexible and soft. Subtly powerful and open. Wild and serene. Able to accept all changes, yet still led by the pull of steady tides. Victoria Erickson
